Charlotte’s workshops are always tailored to their audiences and unlike many screen print workshops, Charlotte pre-prepares screens with photographic stencils. This process allows you to print extremely detailed images which can be used creatively during the workshop over and over again to produce original and very professional outcomes. You can print your artwork on bags, posters or clothes.
Over the course of every workshop, Charlotte covers the entire process of screen printing, from creating stencils to mixing inks, preparing and maintaining the screen for printing, to the printing itself.
An example of a drop-in workshop, Charlotte was asked to produce a screen print workshop for Open House 2019 at City Centre Centre in London in collaboration with NLA. Responding to some of the landmarks of the London’s Square Mile and the architectural focus of the venue, Charlotte curated a selection of 4 quirky and iconic images for the workshop which she developed onto a silkscreen. Another screen was prepared with abstract shapes as well as the logo and motto of the City Centre.
Participants were invited to create their own compositions by combining abstract shapes and photographic images, deciding their colour combinations and finally setting out and printing their work.
The workshop was a drop-in and so people visiting the City Centre were invited to join the workshop for as long as they liked and were surprised and excited by the prints and the bags that they could take away.
Charlotte can provide screen print workshops for any occasion, if you would like to discuss a workshop idea with her please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07703395509.
